Why choose us?

“Play Rugby and Learn English” is an effective approach to learn English. The method involves 15 students per class, English lessons in the morning, training in the afternoon and midweek rugby games and excursions.
This is a very effective educational method to learn English, approved and recognized by the Education and Science Department of the Government.

Teaching English as a Second Language through sports activities gives immense benefits to students. It promotes active learning of the language in any environment. This method enhances learning of the English Language and also the intellectual, physical and social development of the learners.
In the classroom, students are encouraged to learn English through a general English course and inspired to discover more about a particular sport like rugby. Conversations in small groups are always promoted by the teachers so student can interact regarding a specific topic. In addition to a classroom-learning environment, students will be educated in the outdoors or at the sport complex. As result students become more familiar with the vocabulary related to the sporting activity selected. In the follow-up period, students will begin their sporting activity.
Athletes are more expressive in using the English Language after the sport activities. They are more confident and motivated than when they were in the classroom. As result there is a better social interaction and a sense of teamwork among classmates and definitely an improvement in the use of the English Language.
We provide each athlete with the best possible teaching and coaching staff with the aim to empower the learners to reach their full potential via a high quality and inspiring education.

Our experienced teaching staff are well trained and highly qualified in what they teach. They are up to date with the latest methods in teaching English as a foreign language and combine academic excellence with sensitivity and receptiveness to each student’s individual needs, talents and potential.

All “Rugby and English” teachers are university graduates with qualifications in teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and are respected for their knowledge and professionalism.

The academic and teaching method are reviewed and approved by the Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) in Ireland and the British Council in the UK and are recognised by the Department of Education and Science of the Irish and English Government for the excellence of the teaching methods.

More about us

What we do

We aim to empower students to reach their full potential via a high quality and inspiring education and, at the same time, we are devoted to improve young people’s English Language Skills through Sport.

Why we do it

Rugby, sport in general, enhances personal abilities, healthy lifestyles and leadership qualities. It is a powerful tool that can change young people’s lives — through a sense of achievement and raising aspirations. And, more importantly, it offers the possibility to meet new people, to see new places and make new experiences. At its core, sport can help improve educational performance across all subjects, develop personal and social skills. It also enhances self confidence, improves learning and offers a way of realising individual dreams

We believe that this is very important for the young generations and we love to do what we do at the best of our abilities and in an appropriate manner.

Where we do it

    RUGBY IS...

    • Rugby is a religion!

       Edoardo, Italy

    • No matter how bad a day or a week, or a month might have been, you show up on that field and it all just disappears.Throwing a ball with those who became family. That is one of the best things in life. Just knowing they have your back as much as you have theirs. You can throw yourself into the battle of rugby and take a hit for either one of them. You go through hardships together. You're never alone.

Wherever in the world you are. When you meet a fellow rugby player, you're set.

      Rugby is family.

      Robin, Belgium

    • Rugby is: ... a great opportunity for my son to grow as a young adult sharing with his fellow teammates great moments of joy, hard work, some ups and some downs but always with solidarity and goodwill.

      Nicolas, France

      Martin, France
    • Rugby is: my passion, a game I like to share with my friends, a family because each player is involved in the team, each player is important and depends on the others. I like too the values and the rugby spirit.

      Alfred, France

    • Sacrificio, Respeto, Humildad y Camaradería.

      Gerardo Cosenza, Argentina
